In what lengths are the EasyRails available?
Lengths range from 1 meter to a maximum of 6 meters. Lengths of 6 meters can only be picked up at our warehouse. If you still want them to be transported, all costs are for the buyer and only apply to the Netherlands. Lengths of 6 meters cannot be shipped to America due to high shipping costs. For all countries inside and outside the EU, there is a maximum length of 2 meters for shipping.
Can the EasySliders withstand frost?
Yes, the EasySliders can withstand temperatures down to -20 degrees Celsius.
What if there is dirt in the EasyRails?
The advice is always to check carefully for leaves or twigs. If you forget this, there is still no problem because the center wheels are good at pushing the dirt aside.
Does rain/melt water stay in the EasyRail?
No, water will drain at the locations of the mounting slots that are in the EasyRail. The advice is also to pay close attention to whether the EasyRail is always on an incline. This means there must be a slight slope in the system, towards the side where the roof opens. A minimum slope of 2 mm is required per meter.
With snow and very cold temperatures, is snow and icing a problem?
No, this need not be a problem. When planning an observation of the stars, you should always check beforehand that there are no obstacles on the EasyRail. The advantage of anodized aluminum is that ice is less likely to stick to it at low temperatures.
Can the EasyRails and EasySliders rust?
No, anodized aluminum cannot rust.
Do I need to do maintenance on the wheels of the EasySlider?
Basically, no. If there is some resistance on the wheels, you can use a suitable penetrating oil. Do not use WD40 under any circumstances.

Is there documentation of the EasyRail and the EasySlider?
Yes, it is available. Send a message via our contact form and we will email the documentation to you.
How many EasySliders do I need?
This depends on the size of the observatory. Suppose your observatory has a roof area of 3.56 meters x 2.50 meters and your roof slides over the longest part of 3.56 meters, you will need 3 EasySliders per side. So a total of 6. If the length of your roof is 5 meters, you will need 5 EasySliders per side, making a total of 10. Can’t figure it out? Then please contact us. For roofs larger than 25 square meters, we always advise you to get in touch with us.
Why do I have to pay import fees? USA only
U.S. Customs may apply import duties, additional taxes, and customs clearance fees to goods imported into the United States from the EU. These costs are legally required and are not determined by SkyRoof Slide Systems.
How much are the import duties? USA only
This depends on the type of product and the value of the shipment. For products with aluminum and/or steel parts, the total import costs can often be around 25–35%. The exact amounts are determined by U.S. Customs and/or the carrier.
Can SkyRoof Slide Systems pay these costs for me? USA only
Currently, we ship to the US according to DAP (Delivered At Place). This means that any import duties, taxes and clearance fees are paid by the customer upon delivery.
